Champagne Salon is described by Peter Liem as a “jewel of a house… unique in Champagne in that it has always only produced a single wine, made from a single village, grape variety and vintage,” while sister house Delamotte has been producing renowned wines from the Côte des Blancs since the 18th century. This dinner highlights Le Mesnil Chardonnay at some of its most pure and dazzling heights. Didier Depond, director of both Salon and Delamotte, will be in attendance to present some of these sister houses’ greatest vintages, almost entirely from magnum, including the ultra-rare Salon 1971. The wines will be paired with a tasting menu prepared by Chef Abram Bissell - recently awarded a second Michelin star - in the The Modern’s beautiful dining room overlooking The Museum of Modern Art’s sculpture garden.
