The Taittinger family has managed the Champagne House for nearly a century. Its aim has always been the pursuit of excellence. “Having our family name on a bottle places demands and responsibilities on every minute. The name on the bottle conveys both the skills and knowledge of the past and a commitment to the future”. Pierre Emmanuel Taittinger has embodied this commitment for 40 years, and today he shares it with his son, Clovis and his daughter, Vitalie who both work beside him in the day to day running of the Champagne House. Together, they create a very close-knit and complementary family trio.

The house was originally founded as “Forest-Fourneaux” by Jacques Fourneaux in 1734, making it one of the oldest Champagne houses. In 1932, Pierre Taittinger acquired the property and gave it its current name.

Taittinger’s exceptional quality stems from a meticulous selection of grapes from the finest vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, Marne Valley, and Montagne de Reims as well as extended aging in the house’s thousand-year-old chalk quarry.

Comtes de Champagne, the house’s prestige cuvée, is one of Champagne’s most famous and well-regarded. Exclusively made from Grand Cru Chardonnay grapes and only in the best vintages, the wine ages for up to 10 years on its lees before release.
