The well-regarded house of Henriot was founded in 1808 by Apolline Henriot, a young widow who had a deep love for the Champagne region and its vines. With a powerful interest in terroir and viticulture, Apolline desired to “shed light on her lands through Champagne” and that philosophy exists at Henriot to this day, with the house’s Tête de Cuvée - formerly Cuvée des Enchanteleurs - now called “Hemera” after the Greek personification of day. This dinner with Henriot’s current Chef de Cave, the dynamic Alice Tétienne, will illuminate Henriot’s commitment to excellence and terroir-transparency across decades through a superb lineup of Vintage Champagnes and Hemera/Cuvée des Enchanteleurs back to 1970. The wines will be paired with a tasting menu from Chef Gabriel Kreuther at his two Michelin-starred eponymous restaurant.
