Rare Champagne boasts a noble origin dating back to 1785 when Queen Marie Antoinette tasted the house’s first cuvée. With limited production and unapologetically exclusive, Rare Champagne stands as a regal rejection of convention. Since 1976, only 15 vintages have been released, and we are delighted to share 13 of them - from the highly anticipated and newly released 2015 all the way back to 1976, the house’s first vintage in the modern era. Rare is first presenting this lineup of wines at the Château de Versailles, echoing the house’s aristocratic origins, and it is an honor for La Fête du Champagne to share the same experience with Champagne lovers in New York. This extraordinary dinner will feature Rare’s talented Chef de Cave Emilien Boutillat, the protégé of boundary-breaking Régis Camus, Rare’s previous longtime winemaker. Rare’s signatures of silky texture and extreme freshness will beautifully complement the cuisine of Chef Jassimran Singh at Crown Shy.
