La Fête du Champagne 2019 will kick off with a spectacular lunch featuring the great vintages of the 9s from Agrapart, Bollinger, Delamotte, Drappier, Henriot, and AR Lenoble. Pascal Agrapart, Michel Drappier, Laurent Fresnet of Champagne Henriot, Christian Holthausen of Champagne AR Lenoble, and Mathieu Pouchan of Champagne Delamotte will be in attendance to present these Champagnes over a multi-course lunch at renowned Chef Thomas Keller’s Per Se in Columbus Circle, featuring the exquisite cuisine of Chef de Cuisine Corey Chow.

Vigneron Jérôme Prévost will share a unique dive into his cellar to share some very rare and coveted bottles from his cult estate La Closerie in the village of Gueux. This unprecedented evening will give guests an opportunity to get to know this great personality in Champagne. Chef Arnaud Lallement, a dear friend of Jérôme, will collaborate with Chef Daniel Boulud on an exquisite menu to pair with the wines, which will include numerous vintages of Jérôme’s highly-sought-after Les Béguines and rosé cuveee Fac Similé, as well as two cuvées which have never been tasted outside of the winery - Climax & IOTA.

We’ve invited four of the region’s brightest rising stars - Cédric Moussé, Etienne Calsac, Aurélien Gerbais, and Adrien Dhondt - to participate in a roundtable tasting and discussion, talking about the challenges that face a young Champagne winemaker and winegrower, whether starting a Champagne estate from the ground up or inheriting an estate from family.

One of the weekend’s must-attend events, the Grand Tasting will offer guests a selection of wines from each participating producer, totaling over 100 different Champagnes accompanied by a selection of small plates from some of New York’s most acclaimed restaurants.

The culmination of La Fête du Champagne, the Gala Dinner will be at Pier 60 on the waterfront of Manhattan’s West Side. Chef d’Honneur Daniel Boulud will collaborate with Chefs Andrew Carmellini of Locanda Verde, Arnaud Lallement of l'Assiette Champenoise in Reims, and Chef Melissa Rodriguez of Del Posto in preparing a luxurious, Champagne-friendly, multi-course menu. In addition to enjoying the special bottles provided by all attending producers, guests are invited to bring bottles of Champagne from their own cellars to share throughout the room. This is sure to be a Champagne-soaked celebration with some of the region’s finest winemakers.
