Practitioners of what is perhaps the most forward-thinking and experimental farming in the Champagne region, the team at Louis Roederer led by the indefatigable Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon continues to push the boundaries of what is possible to achieve in an ever-changing viticultural environment. At this dinner, Jean-Baptiste will present a collection of wines that showcase the spectacular northern terroirs of Louis Roederer through both younger and more mature vintages - the Brut Nature project in collaboration with designer Philippe Starck, Blanc de Blancs Vintage, championing the chalky terroir of Avize, Vintage, a singular expression of Verzy Pinot Noir, originating from the first vines bought by Louis Roederer back in the mid-19th century, and Rosé Vintage, born mostly of vines in Cumières. We will close with four examples of Louis Roederer’s legendary tête de cuvée Cristal. The wines will be paired with the spectacular modern French-Californian cuisine at Juliet in Culver City.
