Lastly, we will also showcase a precious selection of Tete de Cuvées from leading Champagne houses Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart and Philipponnat. The wines will be presented by the La Fête du Champagne team.

This dinner is built upon years of friendship between three growers - Alexandre Chartogne, Frédéric Savart, and Raphaël Bérêche - and one of the world’s great chefs and a longtime supporter of La Fête - Chef Arnaud Lallement of the three Michelin-starred restaurant l’Assiette Champenoise in Reims. We will explore the varied terroir of the Petite Montagne de Reims - the vineyards to the west and northwest of Reims - through a special cuvée from each producer, starting with Chartogne’s Blanc de Blancs “Heurtebise” from the village of Merfy. The evening will continue with Savart’s Pinot Noir dominant single parcel wine Le Mont Benoit from Villers-aux-Nœuds, followed by Bérêche’s renowned rosé Campania Remensis from the village of Ormes. We will finish with a flight of unique wines from each grower - Chartogne’s Les Barres, made from 100% Pinot Meunier and Bérêche’s rare Coteaux Champenois. The wines will be paired with an exclusive collaborative menu prepared by Chefs Daniel Boulud & Arnaud Lallement, whose precise, sensitive cuisine will perfectly complement the evening’s wines.

Chef de Cave of Louis Roederer

A tour of Louis Roederer Collection

3:00pm-4:30pm | Friday, October 27, 2023
The Library at the Public - 425 Lafayette Street, New York, NY 10003
$150

We are honored to be joined by the Chef de Cave of Louis Roederer, Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, for this extremely special masterclass exploring the process behind the creation of Louis Roederer Collection. Jean-Baptiste will share how his uncompromising and forward-thinking approach to crafting the Champagnes at Louis Roederer led to the shift from Brut Premier - the house’s longtime vision for a consistent Brut non vintage wine - to Collection - an ever-evolving  multi-vintage blend from the house’s perpetual reserve, oak-aged reserve wines, and the wines of the recent harvest. We will taste four trial editions of Collection that were never commercially released, followed by the first three editions  of Collection. Of course, no Louis Roederer experience is complete without a taste of the house’s legendary tête de cuvée Cristal, so Jean-Baptiste has also generously provided the superb 2015.

Dinner with Champagne Bollinger - Nine Vintages of Vieilles Vignes Françaises

With Chef de Cave Denis Bunner

presented by

7:00pm | Friday, October 27, 2023
Naro - Rockefeller Center, Rink Level, 610 5th Ave, New York, NY 10020
$2,900

An unparalleled symbol of the patrimony of Champagne, Bollinger’s Vieilles Vignes Françaises is an impossibly rare wine, made exclusively from ungrafted Pinot Noir vines in two plots that have, to this day, miraculously survived phylloxera. In these two small Grand Cru plots in Aÿ, Chaudes Terres and Clos Saint-Jacques, the vines are still grown en foule - untrained, using a traditional layering method known as provignage. Until 2005, a third ungrafted plot in Bouzy was also a part of the blend, but the vineyard ultimately succumbed to phylloxera, a reminder of the fragility of these precious vines. The resulting Champagnes are an incredible taste of the soul of the region and opening a bottle is always an emotional experience. We are honored to be joined by Bollinger’s Chef de Cave Denis Bunner for this extremely special dinner featuring nine vintages of Vieilles Vignes Françaises back to 1990, sourced directly from the house’s cellars in Aÿ. The wines will be paired with the superlative modern Korean cuisine of James Beard Award-winning Chef Junghyun Park of Naro.
